Games and other interactive nonsense.
This collection contains illustrations I've made. All of them were created digitally using ProCreate and/or Adobe Photoshop.
Also known as "making normal stuffed animals," I've been practicing it for over a decade. From 2009 to 2013, I sold my pieces internationally via Etsy. I now sell them at local art shows from time to time.
Tyto Ecology is a single-player ecology simulator, and was the first title released by Immersed Games. Players select an ecosystem and populate it with plants and animals, trying to create balance. Our first three ecosystems were the Mojave desert, Amazon rainforest, and Great Plains grassland. Three DLCs have added the Himalayas, Alaskan tundra, and Cretaceous Mongolia to the roster.
During production, I managed the art pipeline and oversaw the creation of all models, textures, animations, and environment art. I also researched and wrote all of the entries in the biodex, an in-game encyclopedia containing information on the plants and animals available in each ecosystem.
Tyto Ecology, Tyto Ecology: Himalayas, Tyto Ecology: Alaskan Tundra, and Tyto Ecology: Cretaceous Mongolia are all available on Steam. All pictures are screenshots taken in-game.
Animations I’ve made with ProCreate 5.
I made this 16-panel comic for an online course on making comics. The comics all had to use a 4-panel-per-page format and could be no longer than 4 pages, so the story is more abridged than I’d like it to be. Perhaps in the future I’ll make a longer version.
For Inktober 2021, I decided to try mixing and matching different artists’ styles. With the advent of generative AI, this is no longer an interesting artistic challenge, but trust me: I really did draw all these myself.
